Sloganeering, uproar and running away… this is what is written in their fate, said Modi on the opposition’s walkout in Rajya Sabha

Modi in Rajya Sabha

Opposition walkout in Rajya Sabha: In the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi was responding to the discussion on the motion of thanks to the President’s address, the opposition, including the Congress, walked out of the House. When the Prime Minister was responding to the discussion, first the opposition leader Mallikarjun Kharge asked the Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar for permission to say something. When this permission was not given by the Chair, the opposition members started sloganeering. When the Prime Minister continued his speech amidst their sloganeering, the Congress and opposition members, including Kharge, walked out of the House.

I don’t have the courage to listen to the answer…

When the opposition members were boycotting the proceedings of the Upper House, the Prime Minister said that the country is seeing that those who spread lies do not even have the strength to listen to the truth. Those who do not have the courage… do not have the courage to listen to the answers to the questions they raised. The Prime Minister said that the opposition is insulting the Upper House. He said that the people of the country have defeated them in every way that now they have nothing left except screaming in the streets. Sloganeering, uproar and running away… this is what is written in their fate.

The chairman expressed displeasure

Terming the walkout of the opposition as extremely painful and painful, the Chairman of the Upper House Jagdeep Dhankhar said that he had requested that the Leader of the Opposition be given the opportunity to speak without any interruption during the discussion. He said, today they (the opposition) have not left the House, they have left the decorum. Today they have not turned their backs on me, they have turned their backs on the Indian Constitution. Today they have not disrespected me and you but have disrespected the oath that has been taken under the Constitution.

Disrespect for the constitution

The Chairman said that there cannot be a bigger insult to the Constitution of India than this. He said that this is the Upper House and it has to guide the country. Dhankhar said that he condemns this conduct of the opposition members. He said that 140 crore people of the country will be hurt by this behaviour of the opposition. He said that the discussion continued in the House till late last night and when the opposition has finished saying its part, it should listen to the ruling party.

Saha has challenged the Indian Constitution

The Chairman said, they have challenged the Indian Constitution, hurt its spirit. I am very sad sitting on this chair that the Constitution is being made fun of, insulted so much… The Constitution of India is not a book to be held in the hand but a book to live by. He advised the opposition to introspect, probe their hearts and perform their duties.
