The Jammu and Kashmir administration has sacked six government officials, including policemen, for their involvement in terror financing through drug sale. The decision was taken after investigation against the accused revealed that they were involved in a narco-terrorist network run by Pakistan ISI and terror organisations operating from the neighbouring country.
The personnel found to be part of the narco-terrorist network have been identified as Head Constable Farooq Ahmed Sheikh, Constable Khalid Hussain Shah, Constable Rehmat Shah, Constable Irshad Ahmed Chalaku, Najam Din (teacher) and Constable Saif Din.
With these dismissals, eight employees have been dismissed within a month for involvement in narco-terrorist activities.
Last month, four employees working in the Union Territory were sacked for having ‘links with terror organisations’ and anti-national activities.

The Jammu and Kashmir government has stepped up efforts to rid the system of elements funding terrorism. With these dismissals, eight employees have been dismissed within a month for being involved in narco-terror activities.

So far the services of more than 100 employees have been terminated
As part of the zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, Lt Governor Sinha in his crackdown on terrorism has so far terminated the services of over 100 employees, including the son of Hizbul Mujahideen chief and grandson of late separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who were involved in funding terrorism and anti-India activities.
