Officials have advised to strengthen the posts towards Narwal. Let us tell you that on July 30, the Indian Army arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist from Poonch district. The terrorist was identified as Mohammad Khalil.

The Romeo Force of the National Rifle had received information about Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Mohammad Khalil hiding in Manganar village of Poonch. DG BSF Nitin Agarwal and Special DG YB Khurania have been removed from their posts and sent back to their original cadre. The main reason for removing DG BSF and Special DG BSF is the continuous infiltration of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir for the last one year. This is the biggest administrative action of the Indian government regarding the infiltration of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, in which senior officers have been punished.

Terrorist infiltration is continuing from Punjab sector

In the last one month, both these officers had visited Jammu and Kashmir, the international border and the Line of Control and participated in important meetings. Apart from this, the failure to effectively control the terrorist infiltration from the Punjab sector is also a major reason for this action. This is the first time in the last several years that two senior officers who were leading a paramilitary force have been removed in this manner. This incident can have a significant impact on the structure and administrative decisions within the security forces.
