There was a ruckus after the kidnapping of a Hindu girl in Sirauli police station of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. After which angry villagers broke into the house of the accused youth and vandalized it. They also took out the household items and set them on fire. The villagers also showed anger at the police who arrived on information and also vandalized police vehicles. After which police from several police stations were called on the spot. Then the matter calmed down.
A Hindu girl was kidnapped on 28 July
It is being told that Saddam, a resident of the village, kidnapped the Hindu girl on 28 July. After the complaint, the police recovered the girl from Jaipur on 1 August and handed her over to her family. It is alleged that the police did not take any action on time and even if they took action, they did not register a report by calling it a case of love affair. However, in this case, Bareilly’s Senior Superintendent of Police Anurag Arya has suspended three policemen including the police station in-charge and the area in-charge.

Stones were also pelted on police
In this incident that happened late on Friday night, people also showed anger towards the police who reached the spot. During this, the villagers vandalized the police vehicles and surrounded the house of the accused Saddam. The villagers were also trying to set the house of the accused on fire. But during this time the police reached and somehow controlled the situation.
FIR registered against the accused on the complaint of the girl’s father
Giving information about the incident, Bareilly SSP Anurag Arya said that on July 30, in Shivpur Chandrapur village under Sirauli police station, Maikulal Lal’s 20-year-old daughter was kidnapped by Saddam from the neighborhood. On August 2, the girl was handed over to the family. Meanwhile, at around 11 pm on Friday night, some miscreants broke into the accused’s house and vandalized it. They also took the cot out of the house and set it on fire. After which the police reached the spot and pacified the matter. The situation at the spot is normal since night. An FIR has been registered against the accused Saddam on the complaint of the girl’s father.
At the same time, an FIR has been registered under serious sections in connection with the vandalism incident. The matter is being investigated. Apart from this, in-charge Love Sirohi, Halka in-charge Satbir Singh, sheet constable have been suspended for not registering the FIR on time and being negligent.
