A Muslim man died of a heart attack on 23 July in Kundarki police station area of Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh. When the time for his funeral came, the Imam was called to read the namaz. But the Imam refused to read the namaz. It is alleged that he did this because the deceased was a BJP supporter. At the same time, the family called the relatives and buried him after offering namaz. Regarding this entire matter, the family of the deceased has written a letter to the DM and SSP demanding action. At present, the police have registered an FIR against 5 people in the case.

Regarding this entire matter, the deceased’s son Dilnawaz Khan said that my father had died of a heart attack. Before burying him, the Imam was called for the last Namaaz, but the Imam refused to read the Namaaz. However, when I asked him the reason for not offering the Namaaz, he said that he would not offer the Namaaz of a BJP supporter.

FIR lodged against 5 in the case
Moradabad DM Anuj Kumar Singh has also given a statement in the matter. He said that a complaint has been received. In which it is said that when a person died of a heart attack, the last namaz was not offered by the Imam. On the basis of the complaint, we are investigating the matter. Action will be taken after the investigation.
At the same time, when the accused Imam Rashid was questioned by the media in this entire case, he refused to speak. Rashid has been offering the last prayer before burial as an Imam for the last several years.
