Death threats, offensive words for the family… MP Pappu Yadav asked for Z security

Purnia MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav has expressed threat to his life. Some videos are viral on social media in which Pappu Yadav is being warned of dire consequences, and the person threatening is using foul language. He is also using objectionable words for the women of the Purnia MP’s family. On this basis, Pappu Yadav has demanded to increase his security.

He had written a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah on July 15, 2024, demanding increased security. Citing threat to his life and that of his family members, Pappu Yadav had asked the Union Home Minister to increase his security from Y category to Z category. Earlier, in a press conference in Purnia on June 14, local MP Pappu Yadav, without naming RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, had targeted him and a former MLA and some businessmen and said that a conspiracy has been hatched against him.

He had said that Tejinder, Khagendra and some people had conspired against him and implicated him in a false extortion case. Pappu Yadav had said that a conspiracy was being hatched to kill him. He had said that he was not going to be afraid of this and would make Seemanchal corruption free. The Purnia MP had alleged that corruption was flourishing in Seemanchal due to the nexus between land mafia, officers, police stations and some politicians.

Pappu Yadav had said, ‘I will go to court to monitor the corruption going on in Purnia, Katihar and Seemanchal areas.’ Let us tell you that a case was registered against Pappu Yadav in the case of extortion. He got bail from the court. After that, he had talked about filing a defamation case against some people. In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav contested from Purnia seat as an independent candidate and defeated JDU candidate Santosh Kumar by a margin of more than 16 thousand votes. RJD’s Bima Bharti was at third place.
