Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha raised the issue of problems related to the Indian education system in the Rajya Sabha. He said that due to irregularities in the NEET exam, doctors like ‘Munnabhai’ are being made today and talented youth are running away to foreign countries through wrong paths. Raghav Chadha also raised questions on the bureaucratic problems faced by startups.

Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha said in Parliament that the crisis of deteriorating education system is affecting our country. This system was once the pride of our country, but today it has become a battlefield where our children are fighting not for knowledge or rights, but to save their existence.

Raghav said that from a very young age our students are pushed into a never-ending race and the desire to learn something new is suppressed by the pressure to compete with each other, because instead of allowing children to develop a curiosity to learn, our education system is teaching them that their ability will be measured only by the marks, grades or ranks they achieve. This fierce competition is not only robbing our children of their childhood, but is also pushing them towards disappointment and frustration.

He said that we have to understand the flaws in our education system and also understand that it needs immediate improvement. Due to the pressure of competition, our children are losing passion and enthusiasm to fulfill their dreams, now it is turning into fear, anxiety and uncertainty.

‘There is a huge gap between education and employment’

MP Raghav Chadha said that we also have to accept that today there is a huge gap between education and employment, due to which today we are pushing the future of our country i.e. students into the trap of unemployment and this will continue till we do not erase this gap between the market demand and our education system. He said that many of our talented youth are forced to leave their country in search of a better future. I come from Punjab, where thousands and lakhs of talented youth leave their state and go abroad to do small jobs. In such a situation, the question arises that why are they doing this? Do they do this in search of peace? They are going abroad not by their own will, but out of compulsion.

‘There are no jobs in the market for students’

MP Raghav Chadha said that India is a country that has given many kinds of knowledge to the world. But now its young generation is forced to take dangerous wrong paths to go to America, Britain, Canada and other countries. These talented and dream-filled people are risking their lives to escape a system that gives them no hope. The lack of opportunities here is heartbreaking. Our education system is not in line with the needs of the modern world. While we produce millions of graduates, there are no jobs in the market for them that can properly utilize their talent. As a result, our youth, burdened with degrees and diplomas, keep wandering aimlessly in search of employment.

‘Students are falling prey to the flaws and corruption in the education system’

Raghav said that today this House is raising the voice of lakhs of NEET candidates who have been hurt by the irregularities in the recent NEET exam. This is not just about an exam, but it is about the hard work and dreams of the students who were dedicated to building a better India. It is ironic that our children who dream of serving the country are falling prey to the flaws and corruption of the education system, the system which was created to encourage and shape their future is now shattering their hard work and hope.

How are we producing doctors in the country: Raghav

Raghav Chadha said that if such an important examination to become a doctor is rigged and people are deceived by giving bribes, then what kind of doctors are we producing in this country? What kind of doctors will be saving people’s lives? Today I would like to say without hesitation that if this system continues, then we will produce doctors like ‘Munnabhai’ (referring to the fictional character of the film) in our colleges and the same doctors will treat people in hospitals.
