Necessary steps will be taken to implement NRC in Manipur: Governor
Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey on Tuesday said that necessary steps will be taken to implement the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in the state. According to a statement issued by the Raj Bhavan, Uikey told a delegation of the Coordination Committee of Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) and United Naga Council (UNC) that the matter has been discussed with President Draupadi Murmu, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Home Minister Amit Shah.
