Bihar: Attempt to burn wife’s private part, victim said- husband tortured her to have unnatural sex

A shocking incident has come to light from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, where a man, under the influence of alcohol, tried to kill his wife by setting her private parts on fire. The victim alleges that her husband used to torture her for Rs 2 lakh and unnatural sex. When the local police did not take any action on the victim’s complaint, she met the DM, IG and SSP and lodged her complaint for justice.

The victim said that she was married to Deepak Patel, a resident of Sikandarpur OP police station area, in 2013. Her mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law and husband all harass her for dowry. On Tuesday, all of them together stripped her naked and then tried to burn her by sprinkling oil on her private parts. Hearing her screams, the landlord came and saved her. The victim said that she has three children, her husband drinks alcohol day and night and keeps demanding money.

The victim’s advocate Nisauddin Chhote said that the woman is a resident of Jogia Math. In 2013, she was married to a young man from Sikandarpur. Since the marriage, she was being harassed for dowry by her in-laws. The victim’s husband is an alcoholic and does not do any work. The victim said that 2 months ago, her husband, who was drunk, asked her to bring 2 lakh rupees from her parents’ house. When she opposed this, her husband, brother-in-law and mother-in-law beat her up.

On the complaint of the victim, the police registered a case and started investigation

Sub Inspector Raman Raj said that a married woman had come to the police station to lodge an application. She has made serious allegations against her in-laws. The matter is being investigated in detail and further action will be taken accordingly.
