One of them is Yahya Sinwar
This is the leader who helped lay the foundation of Hamas in 1980. Let us tell you that at this time anger against Israel was increasing in Palestine and Hamas was established to give it a face. Sinwar was arrested several times by the Israeli army. He even spent more than 2 decades in Israeli jail. During the exchange of prisoners in 2011, Hamas demanded the return of Sinwar, which Israel was forced to accept.
4 lakh dollar reward for information about Sinwar
As of now, Israeli officials believe that Sinwar is also one of the masterminds of the attack on 7 October 2023. Apart from him, Mohammad Daif, who is the commander of the military wing in Gaza, planned this attack in October, in which thousands of innocent Israelis were killed and more than 2 hundred were taken hostage. Soon after this, the Israeli army threw pamphlets in Gaza, which promised to give 4 lakh dollars to the person who gives information about Sinwar. Even after this, the people struggling with the misery in Gaza did not give any information about their leader.
Sinwar has reportedly been hiding in Gaza’s dense tunnel network since then and has been controlling Hamas’ activities from within.
Sinwar’s brutality can be gauged from the fact that during his Israeli captivity he confessed that he used to kill every Palestinian whom he suspected of having a soft corner for Israel. This murder was also not done by shooting, but by slitting the throat with a razor.
After this the name of Khalid Meshaal is coming up
According to a New York Times report, he is also a strong face among Hamas fighters, who is being seen as a replacement for the dead leader.
Meshaal, born in the West Bank, is a political leader of Hamas, on whom Israel has always been angry. In fact, an Israeli agent had even given him slow poison in Jordan, due to which he went into a coma. Later, under a deal, Israel itself saved his life by giving him an antidote.
Suicide bombing started
Khalid Meshaal, who joined the Muslim Brotherhood at the age of 15, spent most of his time outside Palestine in the Middle East. Meshaal was also considered a master of suicide bombing. After the formation of Hamas in the nineties, it was this person who started suicide bombing. There was a close competition between Meshaan and Haniya till just before she was elected as the supreme leader.
After Haniya’s murder, there is also speculation that Sinwar must have been involved in this death in Tehran. Actually, since Haniya was the diplomatic face of Hamas, Sinwar had to obey her even after being the head of ground operations in Gaza.
