Sawan Shivratri 2024: Today, i.e. 2nd August, Shivratri fast is being observed. According to the Hindu calendar, the festival of Shivratri is celebrated on the Chaturdashi date of Krishna Paksha of Shravan month. Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati are worshipped on this day. According to mythological beliefs, it is believed that Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati were married on the day of Shivratri. Fasting on the day of Shivratri has a different significance. Also, reciting the Chalisa of Lord Shiva is considered very fruitful. So let’s read the Chalisa of Lord Shiva.

Magsar sixth is the winter season, the sixty four year is the year.
