Mukhtar Ansari’s wife Afshan Ansari has been absconding for a long time. Several cases of Gangster Act are registered against her in Dakshintola police station of Mau district. Meanwhile, the DIG has announced a reward of Rs 50,000 each on Afshan and 5 other accused. This information was given by DIG Azamgarh Range Vaibhav Krishna.
There is an allegation of occupying the land of Scheduled Caste
According to DIG Azamgarh Range Vaibhav Krishna, a firm named Vikas Construction was formed near Raini village in Dakshin Tola police station area of Mau and land was acquired and a warehouse was constructed on it. That warehouse was rented out to FCI by the firm. This firm was registered in the name of five people. It included Mukhtar Ansari’s wife Afshan Ansari, his two brothers-in-law Anwar Shahzad and Atif Raza as well as Ravindra Narayan Singh and Zakir Hussain alias Vicky. The Revenue Department’s investigation found that Vikas Construction firm had illegally got the land leased to Scheduled Caste people registered in its name.

Apart from this, the land of some other people has also been taken by these people in an illegal manner. The then Tehsildar PC Srivastava found in the investigation that this firm had wrongly got the land leased to the Scheduled Caste people in the name of the firm. On the basis of this report in 2020, a case was registered against five people including Mukhtar Ansari’s wife and his brother-in-law in South Tola police station of Mau. After this case, in June 2021, the district administration demolished the boundary of the firm’s warehouse and occupied it and freed the land. All the other accused in this have already appeared in the court, but Mukhtar Ansari’s wife Afshan Ansari has been absconding since then.
Afshan Ansari is absconding since 2022
Later, based on this case, a case was registered under the Gangster Act in January 2022. But despite the case being registered under the Gangster Act in 2022, Afshan Ansari is still absconding. Mau police is constantly trying to arrest her and has also raided her possible hideouts in Ghazipur several times before, but the police are still empty handed.
