In Sambhal, UP, the DM along with his team raided the Nagar Palika office. The DM’s raid continued for about 7 hours. During this, the DM lined up the door-to-door garbage collection company and the sanitation workers from across the city. When the DM started investigating, a big scam of the garbage collection company came to light. After which the DM ordered to register a case against 6 people of the company. The police arrested three people including the company’s manager and field officer.
Actually, on Wednesday morning, Sambhal district’s DM Dr Rajendra Pensia suddenly reached the city’s main market and several wards for a surprise inspection along with ADM Pradeep Kumar and SDM Vinay Mishra. They saw heaps of garbage everywhere. Seeing this, the DM expressed his displeasure with the subordinate officers. After this, the DM raided the Nagar Palika Parishad office located in Sadar Kotwali area.
Here, as soon as the DM reached the office, he first lined up the door-to-door garbage collection company and all the sanitation workers across the city. On the instructions of the DM, all the sanitation workers were called to the Nagar Palika and along with this, the supervisors and managers of the garbage collection company were also called to the Palika. When the DM called all the sanitation workers and investigated, private employees and their relatives were found working in place of many workers.

Out of 246 sanitation workers, only 148 were on duty
After which the DM asked for the list from the manager and field officer of the garbage collection company, then the company Shri Balaji Steel and Building Material Supplier Institute gave a list of 246 sanitation workers. Despite 246 sanitation workers being engaged in garbage collection, the DM got suspicious of the company’s list when there were heaps of garbage in the city, so the DM called the company’s employees to the municipality. As soon as the sanitation workers were called, the company’s fraud came to light. Where out of 246 sanitation workers, only 148 employees were working in the municipality, while the door to door garbage collection company was embezzling government money by taking out the salaries of 246 employees.
During the investigation in Palika, when the DM checked the mobile phone of the supervisor of the garbage collection company, another big act of the company manager came to light during the raid. As soon as the DM’s raid started, the manager of the garbage collection company sent a message in the WhatsApp group of supervisors saying that on the DM’s inquiry, everyone should inform about the presence of 4 sanitation workers in their team.
In this way, layer by layer frauds of the garbage collection company came to light during the DM’s investigation. On which the DM called the Kotwali police on the spot and instructed them to arrest the main employees of the garbage collection company. In a short while, Kotwali in-charge Anuj Tomar and SSI Shravan Kumar arrested the garbage collection company’s representatives Arvind Gupta and Udit Sankdhar, manager Ankush on the spot.
At present, on the basis of the complaint of Palika Adhyaksh Ashiya Mushir, Sadar Kotwali police has registered a case against the representatives of the garbage collection company Arvind Gupta and Udit Sankdhar, manager Ankush and three supervisors Shariq, Intezaar and Suhaib. At the same time, the DM has constituted a high level investigation team under the leadership of ADM Pradeep Kumar to investigate the scam of the garbage collection company.
In this case, DM Dr. Rajendra Pansia said that during the surprise inspection, irregularities of the door to door garbage collection company have come to light, in which physical verification of all the employees has been done. Many such things have been found which are shown on paper but are not present on the spot. An investigation team has been formed and an FIR has also been lodged against 6 people of the garbage collection company. Such irregularities will not be tolerated at all.
