Why is Panki healthy?
Because of making it with banana leaves, the antioxidants present in the leaves also get mixed in the dish. Carbs are included in panki due to the presence of rice flour. Also, vitamins and minerals are also present in it due to fenugreek and other spices. Since it is made in less ghee and oil, it is a low fat snack.
Panki is gluten free
People who have gluten issues need not be afraid of eating panki as it is made from rice and rice is gluten free. Although it is low in fibre, the presence of fenugreek increases the fibre content in it, making it easier to digest.
Also helpful in weight loss
Due to being low fat, low calorie and gluten free, you can easily make Panki a part of your weight loss diet. Its glycemic index is very low, so it can prove to be a healthy snack in every way.
