Due to the ransomware attack, the payment systems of these hundreds of banks also failed. According to reports, this cyber attack has taken place on the company that provides technical support to all these small banks.

On Thursday, a big news came about the Indian banking system. According to a Reuters report published on India Today, C-Edge Technologies was attacked by ransomware. This company provides technical support services to many small banks in the country. In such a situation, the cyber attack on this company has had a direct impact on about 300 banks associated with it. The payment system of the banks affected by this was also affected.
The company maintained silence on the cyber attack!
Citing two sources directly connected to the matter, the report said that C-Edge Technologies, which provides banking technical support to small banks across the country, has been badly affected by this cyber attack. However, no comment has been made by C-Edge Technologies regarding this cyber attack. No statement has been issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on this matter either.

NPCI took this step in a hurry
However, taking cognizance of this cyber attack, the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI), which oversees the payment system in India, has temporarily banned the work of this company. In a statement issued on Wednesday, NPCI has said that C-Edge Technologies has been banned for some time and this company will remain away from the retail payment system until further orders.
