dead Cockroach Sambhar at Hyatt Ahmedabad, A dead cockroach was reportedly found in the sambar served to guests at a five-star hotel in Ahmedabad city on Wednesday morning, following which the local municipal body sealed its kitchen for 48 hours, officials said.
Bhavin Joshi, food department official of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, said that during a function organised at hotel ‘Hyatt Ahmedabad’ in Vastrapur area, a guest found a cockroach in the sambar served and made a video of it.

He immediately informed the hotel management and recorded a video of the incident. Bhavin Joshi, the designated officer of the AMC’s food department, confirmed that the complaint was filed through the official portal of the AMC.
The kitchen was sealed for 48 hours
He said the man made a video of it and “made a formal complaint on our portal.” The official said that after investigation, the hotel’s kitchen was sealed for 48 hours. The AMC’s closure notice said that the area will remain closed for 48 hours to protect public health. Following the complaint, AMC officials inspected the hotel’s ‘Indian kitchen’ section and found it in unhygienic conditions.
