Former Union Minister Pashupati Kumar Paras said that his Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party was treated unfairly during the Lok Sabha elections, then he stayed with the NDA. Pashupati Paras was addressing reporters after a meeting of RLJP. He said that we got a raw deal in the Lok Sabha elections, but we gave our loyalty. We hope that BJP President JP Nadda will understand this and give us a due importance in the Bihar assembly elections to be held next year.
Paras said that RLJP would like to contest on behalf of NDA from one of the four assembly seats where by-elections are going to be held. These seats have become vacant after the MLAs became MPs.

According to PTI, Pashupati Paras also proposed RLJP national vice-president Narendra Nath Pandey alias Sunil as a “candidate” for the Tarari seat, which has fallen vacant following the resignation of CPI(ML) MLA Sudama Prasad. Paras said Narendra Nath Pandey will give a tough fight. He fought a great election as an independent in 2020. The BJP should consider this.
‘We will contest all 243 seats on our own’
Former Union Minister Pashupati Paras said that in our meeting we have resolved to strengthen the RLJP and give our strength to the NDA in the assembly elections, provided we get a respectable share. We will contest all 243 seats on our own.
