Why be sad over the death of a terrorist who killed thousands of people?

The world is divided into two parts over the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Iran. Iran, Lebanon, China, Turkey, Malaysia and Qatar have called this killing a violation of humanity and international laws. Iran has also reacted strongly and talked about revenge. At the same time, Israel has called this killing an action against terrorism.
