Israel has taken revenge for the biggest terrorist attack on its soil on 7 October. The reason is that Israel entered the house of the person who is said to be the mastermind of the 7 October attack and killed him. Actually, Israel has killed Hamas chief Ismail Haniya, who was declared a Special Designated Terrorist by the US. Haniya usually lived in Qatar, but he used to visit Iran and Turkey in connection with peace talks. He had come to Tehran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new President of Iran. Here he also met the supreme leaders of Iran, but he would hardly have thought that after a few hours Israel would end his existence.
Although Israel has not yet given an official statement regarding the attack on Haniya, Hamas has said in its statement that the head of Hamas was killed in the Israeli attack in Tehran. That is, Israel killed the head of Hamas by entering his own house and that too in Tehran, where Haniya considered it safe. After this attack, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has vowed to give severe punishment to Israel after the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniya. In a statement given to the state news agency IRNA, he said, “With this action, the criminal and terrorist Israeli regime has prepared the ground for severe punishment for itself, and we consider it our duty to avenge this blood because he was martyred in the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
