The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) II 2024. The CDS 2 2024 exam will be held on September 1, 2024. The e-Admit Cards will be made available on the UPSC website 7 days before the exam. Candidates should download their admit cards and report to the exam center at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
CDS 2 2024 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for CDS 2 2024, candidates must be unmarried and meet one of the following nationality criteria[2][4]:
- Citizen of India
- Subject of Nepal
- Person of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanently settling in India
The age limit varies based on the defense academy. For IMA and Indian Naval Academy, candidates born between July 2, 2001 and July 1, 2006 are eligible. Applicants should be graduates in any discipline from a recognized university.
CDS 2 2024 Selection Process
The selection process consists of:
- Written exam conducted by UPSC
- Interview at the Service Selection Board based on preferences
- Medical examination
The written exam will have papers on English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics. Candidates who qualify the written exam will be called for the interview and medical test.
