What are the rules regarding security forces?

How is money decided?

This money depends on the deployment of any company or battalion. If a company is deployed in a state for a long time, then an amount has been fixed by the central government and the state governments have to pay that much money. Apart from this, in case of deployment of a few days, the money is decided on the basis of the number of days and the number of soldiers. The amount of this money is decided by the Home Ministry.

How much is the charge?

Let us tell you that these charges were changed in the year 2019. According to the new charges, every general category state will have to pay Rs 13.7 crore every year to the Home Ministry for the deployment of 7 company battalions. This does not include the money for transport and movement of the force. These charges are for the year 2019. Rs 15.40 crore is fixed for 2020-21, Rs 17.36 crore for 2021-22, Rs 19.65 for 2022-23 and Rs 22.30 crore for 2023-24. Some states are given exemption in this. Let us tell you that there are 100 soldiers in a company of the security force.

The government had reduced these charges significantly in the year 2019. In the year 2018, Rs 52.40 crore was charged for this. Another special thing is that the state governments have not given much money to the central government. According to reports, the Home Ministry had to take Rs 63,156 crore from the states by October 2021, which is more than the budget of any state.
