There was a huge uproar in the Parliament over Anurag Thakur’s statement on Rahul Gandhi. As soon as the proceedings of the Lok Sabha began, the opposition members came into the well and started sloganeering. Question Hour proceedings continued amidst the uproar of the opposition. The noise of the opposition slogans increased and when the opposition members started waving the posters of ‘We Want Caste Census’, Speaker Om Birla interrupted them. Due to the uproar, the proceedings of the House had to be adjourned for some time.

The speaker said that it has already been decided in the BSC that no honourable member will come with a placard. This will not work. The speaker told the opposition members that you have come in a planned manner to obstruct and create a deadlock in the proceedings of the House. This will not work. He said that you do not have any issue. You told them, they told you. The speaker then took the name of the Parliamentary Affairs Minister.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju targeted Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party, calling the opposition’s attitude wrong. Criticizing the opposition, Rijiju said that this attitude is wrong. The Parliamentary Affairs Minister said that we deny it. He said that the Congress Party and Rahul Gandhi talk about caste all day long. But if someone asks them about their caste, see how they react.

Rijiju said that Congress has always worked to divide the country. He said that Congress has lowered the morale of the country’s army. Congress is trying to incite violence and anarchy in the country. Congress is working to weaken the country. We will go with rules and regulations. During this, opposition members also waved posters with the words ‘We want caste census’ written on them.

Earlier, Shiv Sena UBT MP Uddhav Thackeray said that BJP people keep abusing Rahul Gandhi. If you have to raise the voice of the poor, you will have to face abuse. He said that the poor have a lot of expectations from Rahul Gandhi. BJP’s job is to abuse everyone. Mahatma Gandhi was also abused, but he did a lot of work for the country. Congress MP Imran Masood said that we are serious about caste census. He said that Anurag Thakur should learn manners.

Shiv Sena UBT MP Priyanka Chaturvedi said that they are tensed and hence have lost their temper. They know that they will have to sit in the opposition in a few days. That is why they talk about caste and religion. It is worth mentioning that a day before, Anurag Thakur had said in the Lok Sabha that those who talk about caste day and night do not know their own caste. Rahul Gandhi and other opposition members were enraged at Anurag’s statement. Rahul Gandhi had said that Anurag Thakur has abused me, insulted me. I will not ask him to apologize.

Expressing objection to Anurag’s statement, Akhilesh Yadav had said that how did you ask about caste. How can you ask someone’s caste. After this, Jagdambika Pal, who was present on the chair then, had said that it has been expunged. He had said that I am giving the order that no honourable member in the House can ask anyone’s caste.
