This year, the country’s capital Delhi witnessed some strange weather in the month of July. Sometimes it rained heavily, or sometimes people went for monsoon rains but in the meantime the humid heat always remained. This month in Delhi, there was rain somewhere and dry weather somewhere, but humidity is bothering every area. However, this is not the condition of the country’s capital alone. In most of the states of the country, the series of rains is continuing amidst the scorching heat. But the humidity has increased so much that people are in a miserable condition.

The sun is playing hide and seek in the sky but the heat continues to wreak havoc. Stickiness on the body and clothes wet with sweat are common problems these days. The increasing humidity is a cause of trouble from morning to night. The average maximum temperature in July in Delhi has been 35.8 degrees Celsius. But the dangerous heat of this time is bothering more than the temperature of 48 degrees in June. Have you ever wondered why the humidity increases so much after the rain and why this humid heat makes you cry more than the scorching heat of May-June? Let’s know..

Actually, the heat in May and June is so intense that it makes the weather completely dry and the humidity in the atmosphere reduces drastically. But when it rains after this, it is not a relief but a disaster. During this time, when a few drops of water fall on the scorching earth, steam comes out from the hot ground. This steam increases the humidity in the atmosphere. This rain does bring down the temperature but it is a minor drop, so after the rain we feel the humidity along with the rising temperature, due to which we have to bear the heat too. However, this year the rain is also unusual. One day there is heavy rain, then for the next 10 days not even a drop of rain falls. In such a situation, the temporary relief of temperature reduction during the rain is also not being received.

We sweat a lot in the humid summer!

Now the question arises that why do we sweat so much in the humid summer? The reason for this is also the increasing humidity in the atmosphere. Sweating is a natural process, which comes to keep the body cool. The normal temperature of the human body is 37 degrees Celsius. But when the outside temperature starts increasing, sweating starts to cool the body. Sweating keeps the body temperature normal.

Why does humidity make one feel crying heat?

Dry heat in May-June means there is a lack of moisture in the atmosphere, during this time when we sweat, it soon evaporates in the air i.e. the air absorbs the sweat and we feel dry heat, so it is also advisable to drink more water during this time. At the same time, during humid heat i.e. when there is moisture in the atmosphere, sweat comes out of the body rapidly due to heat. But the process of its absorption becomes slow because moisture is already present in the atmosphere. In such a situation, we start feeling sticky and our clothes become wet with sweat.

This is the reason why the humid heat after the rain troubles us more. During this time, the body has to deal with both the increased temperature and humidity. That is why people feel more irritable and restless in the humid heat.
