Manu Bhaker Paris Olympics 2024 Medal Hat trick: If Manu Bhaker is there then even a great hat-trick is possible… won two medals in Olympics, has a ‘golden’ chance in the third

Manu Bhaker Paris Olympics 2024 medal hat-trick: Manu Bhaker has emerged as a ‘Dhaakad’ athlete in the Paris Olympics. She has got her name recorded in the pages of history by winning two medals one after the other. Now Manu has a chance to win a gold medal in another event.

Manu Bhaker became the first Indian to win two medals in the same Olympics after independence, creating history on 30 July with Sarabjot Singh by defeating South Korea in the 10m air pistol mixed team category at the Paris Olympics. British-born Indian athlete Norman Pritchard won silver medals in the 200m sprint and 200m hurdles at the 1900 Olympics, but that achievement was before independence.

The Indian pair defeated Korea’s Lee Wonho and O Ye Jin 16-10 to give the country its second medal in this Olympics. Earlier, Manu had won bronze in the women’s 10 meter air pistol event.

Manu will now play on August 2
Manu still has to compete in the 25m air pistol event and has a chance to win a third medal as the events are scheduled to begin on August 2. Sarabjot finished ninth in the 10m air pistol individual category with a score of 577 in the qualification and could not make it to the finals.

I will try to score a hattrick: Manu Bhaker
After winning the bronze medal, Manu Bhaker looked very happy with her partner Sarbjot Singh in the event. When she was asked that she can now score a hat-trick of medals, she said that she will give her all to win the medal and will try to score a hat-trick.

We have not given up our fighting spirit: Manu Bhaker
Manu and Sarabjot had secured a place in the bronze medal match by scoring 580 in the qualification round. Manu said after the victory, “I am feeling very proud. Thanks to everyone for their good wishes.” She said, “We cannot control the performance of the opposing team but our performance is with us. I and my partner did our best and did not give up fighting spirit till the end.”

There was a lot of pressure during the match: Sarabjot Singh
Ambala’s shooter Sarabjot was under a lot of pressure to perform well after failing in the individual category. He said, ‘I am feeling good. The competition was very tough and there was a lot of pressure.’ Manu could not qualify for the finals in Tokyo Olympics due to a problem in the pistol. But by winning two medals here, she healed every wound.

After a bad start, India won bronze like this

India had a bad start when Sarabjot’s first shot was 8.6, but Manu scored 10.2. The Korean pair scored a total of 20.5 and took a lead of 2.0. In the mixed team category, the team that reaches 16 points first wins. After losing the first set, Manu performed consistently well and scored less than 10 only thrice. After this, it became difficult for the Korean team to make a comeback.
