In Rajasthan schools, children will now be taught about the day of removal of Article 370 on 5th August as Swarn Mukut Mastak Diwas. The Rajasthan government has included the day of removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir in 2019 in its academic calendar issued to celebrate the special day in Rajasthan schools.
The calendar issued to schools has been named as Shiv Panchang in which Savarkar Jayanti will be celebrated on May 28, Surya Namaskar Day on February 4, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti on February 7, this Valentine’s Day i.e. Parents’ Day on February 14 and Desh Prem Diwas i.e. Subhash Chandra Bose Day on January 23 will be celebrated.

In this academic calendar released by the education department of Rajasthan, the festivals that were there earlier have been kept but all these new days have been added. Rajasthan’s education minister Madan Dilawar has described it as one that teaches patriotism and culture, while former education minister and Rajasthan Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara has described it as politically inspired. Although it was already announced by education minister Madan Dilawar, but the education department has now released it in the form of a calendar.
The education department has also announced the exam schedule in this calendar. According to this, the first test will be held in schools from 21 to 23 August and the second test will be held from 14 to 16 October. Apart from this, the second and fourth Saturdays of every month have been declared as No Bag Day. This new academic calendar will come into effect from July 1, 2025.
Exam Schedule:
First Test: August 21-23
Second Test: October 14-16
Half-yearly examination: December 12 to 24
Annual Examination: April 24 to May 8
Result declared : 16 May
