Massive protest by ABVP in Delhi, police lathicharge, mayor’s poster blackened

The peaceful demonstration of ABVP students suddenly turned violent when the police resorted to lathicharge. The protesters were trying to blacken the gate, due to which the police tried to stop them. During this, many students were injured and the situation became tense. There are frequent clashes between the police and the students. The protesters are angry with the use of force by the police and efforts are on to control the situation.
