Bangalore’s traffic problems are no secret. It often takes longer than expected to get from one place to another. A recent social media post brought the severity of the problem to light, showing that sometimes walking in the city can be faster than driving.

X User Ayush Singh shared a screenshot comparing travel time for a 6-km distance from Brigade Metropolis to KR Puram railway station on Google Maps. According to the screenshot, driving would take around 44 minutes while walking would take just 42 minutes.

This situation is nothing new for the people of Bangalore. Bangalore’s identity as the IT capital of India has led to a constant flow of professionals, but the city’s infrastructure is not able to keep pace with this growing population. As a result, traffic jams have become a permanent problem, making even short trips time-consuming.

The post sparked a debate among social media users after it was shared online. Many expressed their displeasure over Bengaluru’s traffic, while some shared different perspectives. One user wrote, “It’s the same story in many metro cities of the world,” while another wrote, “The same situation occurs in Mumbai and Delhi during peak hours.”

One user jokingly said – Bangalore forces you to lead a healthy fit lifestyle. No need for a treadmill in your gym.

In the eyes of a user, the solution to Bengaluru’s traffic problem is the metro. A user said – See why the metro is the most important infrastructure for the city. It takes only 13 minutes to travel between these two places through the metro route.

A user advised to use the metro. The user wrote- You have the option of going in the metro. It is just 2 stops away. Don’t complain!

The problem of traffic jam is very common in Bangalore. People take more time than required to reach anywhere due to traffic, but due to this traffic jam, Bangalore has now secured the second position in a list. Delhi is ranked 34th in this list.
