In Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, the government has issued a notice to vacate the illegal settlement. When BJP MLA Surendra Maithani came to know about this, he reached the settlement and talked to the people and reprimanded the officer. Along with this, he tore the notices on the houses. The MLA told the officer that if the bulldozer comes to this settlement, then the bulldozer and whoever comes with it will be pushed into the canal here.
BJP MLA Surendra Maithani went to the colony and standing among the people, made a call and said that you have put up a notice in the entire colony. If you take any further step here, if any bulldozer comes here, then I will welcome you, your company and your bulldozer. When you have dealt with me, then come to the colony. Okay. Stop this dirty work. Modi ji, Yogi ji are giving houses to the people and you will destroy them. Do you have so much courage?

The MLA further said that I will get the bulldozer and everyone pushed into this canal. Do not touch this place at all. Tear the notice and throw it away. I have told everyone here, I am getting the notice torn and thrown away. The bulldozer should not come, not even a single person of yours should be seen here. If anyone is seen then understand. Understand it in very clear language, tape my voice. This will be useful for you, when you bring the bulldozer. Do not raise your eyes in this colony.

MLA Maithani further said that the poor man has been living here for 40-40 years. Modi ji is giving houses. Yogi ji is giving houses. You will destroy the settlement here. We are working to get the canal cemented, if the canal is cemented then the poor man will benefit. Like we got it built on the double culvert. We took the canal through a pipeline. If it does not go through the pipeline, then we will get it cemented. People on both sides will benefit. And don’t even think of destroying it here.
The MLA further said that if you come here, then fight with us. Understand in Hindi. I am repeatedly saying that tape my voice. No one should enter here. Do not do any such thing. Otherwise, if I am in the assembly of Uttar Pradesh, I will leave the assembly and stand here. Be careful. Tell your chief that you will not let injustice happen to the poor here. People have settled here for generations. You should have told us your point before putting up the notice here. Cancel all the notices. I am getting them torn and thrown away. Do not touch any place in my assembly constituency.
