95000 commandos, force on every inch… Army gears up for Jammu and Kashmir elections, there will be high security at every booth

The assembly elections to be held in Jammu and Kashmir have been announced. Elections will be held in three phases. On the orders of the Election Commission, security agencies are making elaborate security arrangements in Jammu and Kashmir. According to information received from sources, more than 95,000 paramilitary forces are being deployed in the state. About 500 companies of paramilitary forces will be deployed in the Kashmir region. Apart from this, 450 companies will be deployed in the Jammu region.

The Election Commission, in collaboration with the MHA, has prepared a special strategy to conduct fair and peaceful elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

In view of terrorist incidents, on the instructions of the Election Commission, the Union Home Ministry and security agencies have made foolproof security arrangements. In this, about 95 thousand soldiers will be deployed in both Jammu and Kashmir regions. Along with this, the companies of paramilitary forces already deployed in the area will be stopped. Let us tell you that additional forces were deployed in the area during the Amarnath Yatra. Along with this, more than 450 additional companies will be sent from outside to Jammu and Kashmir in phases for security during the elections.

Assembly elections are going to be held in Jammu and Kashmir after 6 years. After the announcement of the Election Commission, political activities have intensified. The state elections are being considered historic in many ways because many changes have taken place in the last five years. The most important among these is the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019.

As the election date is approaching, many discussions are also starting. Will the National Conference (NC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerge as the largest parties in Kashmir and Jammu regions? In the recently held Lok Sabha elections, the NC won two out of three seats in the valley, while the BJP won both the seats in Jammu. If the same voting pattern is repeated in the assembly elections, it could shape the future political scenario of the Union Territory.
