While addressing a public meeting in Mumbai, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a big claim about jobs. Countering the allegations of the opposition, PM Modi said that 8 crore jobs have been created in the last 3-4 years. PM Modi also criticized the opposition over the unemployment figures. PM Modi is on a visit to Maharashtra today, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth crores for Mumbai.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that according to an RBI report, eight crore new jobs were created in the country in the last three to four years, which has silenced those spreading fake news about unemployment. He said that despite the corona virus epidemic, employment has been created at a record level in the last four years. Taking a dig at the opposition parties which made unemployment an issue in the recent Lok Sabha elections, Modi said- “RBI has recently published a detailed report on employment. According to the report, about eight crore new jobs have been created in the last three-four years. This figure has silenced those spreading fake news on jobs.”

There will be development in the field of road, railway and port

During this, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 29,000 crore in road, railway and port sectors in Goregaon suburb of Mumbai. The Prime Minister said that the metro rail network is expanding at a rapid pace in the metropolis. He said that ten years ago it was only eight kilometers, which has now increased to 80 kilometers, while work is going on on 200 kilometers. He said that the length of national highways in Maharashtra has tripled. Modi said that the Goregaon-Mulund Link Road will serve as a major route connecting east-west in the northern part of the city. He said that this is a good example of balance between nature conservation and development.

The Prime Minister said that the tunnels connecting Thane and Borivali will reduce the distance between the two regions in minutes. He said that Mumbai and Maharashtra are benefiting from the transformation of railways. Modi said that the redevelopment work of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Ajni-Nagpur is happening at a fast pace. The Prime Minister said that new platforms have been inaugurated at CSMT and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (two main junctions of Central Railway in Mumbai) and this will enable the Railways to operate 24 coach trains. The Prime Minister said that the Centre has also approved the Vadhavan Port to be built at Dahanu in Palghar at a cost of Rs 76,000 crore, which will create 10 lakh jobs. He said that Maharashtra has a glorious history, a strong present and a dream of a prosperous future.
