BJP has targeted the Kejriwal government over the education system in Delhi. BJP President Virendra Sachdeva visited the primary school in Kapashera on the Delhi-Haryana border where he found many shortcomings. He said that in this Delhi Municipal Corporation school located in Kapashera, small children are forced to study on mats.
There is a shortage of teachers since 2022, many of the teachers who are there are on leave, there is no principal, three classes are running in the same hall and there is only one teacher. After this, the BJP president lashed out at the education model of the Aam Aadmi Party.
BJP blamed Aam Aadmi Party for this
While talking to the media, state president Virendra Sachdeva said that Delhi’s Aam Aadmi Party considers its education model as an example for other states of the country. It also talks about its appreciation in foreign countries. These people call it the world’s biggest education model, look at the party that does liquor business through education, which minister will make his children study here? Make your children sit and see. He further said, ‘In the capital, you have made the children sit on the floor to study. Small children, seven-seven, eight-eight year old children, they are stuffed here like sheep and goats and they say that we are bringing revolution in education, we are the fathers of education.’
Sachdeva said that we will complain about this to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi as well as NCPCR. So that immediate action can be taken on this kind of treatment with children and children can get basic facilities. He said that admission takes place here in April but till now there is a shortage of teachers here. The Kejriwal government is looting in the name of education.
There is no drinking water and no desks to sit in the school
Leader of Opposition Raja Iqbal Singh alleged that Kapashera school of MCD does not have drinking water, desks, benches, there are not enough teachers, Aam Aadmi Party had stopped the funds from 2015 to 2022, at that time BJP was ruling MCD and now when it has been 20 months since Aam Aadmi Party has been ruling MCD, the condition of MCD schools is pathetic. The BJP President said that this school exposes Arvind Kejriwal’s world class education system.
There is no principal in the school, 7 teachers are on leave
According to the information received, a total of 2137 children study in this primary school of Delhi. Girls study in the morning shift and boys in the evening shift. Today 1250 were present. Mid day meal also came for them. BJP leaders also checked the food. The senior teacher and in-charge in the school told that about the children not having desks and studying on mats, a senior teacher had said that a letter was written to the senior of the department in April this year for the desks. About 80 desks were asked in the letter but have not been received till now. This school also does not have a principal since November 2022. 7 teachers are on B.L.O. duty and 6 teachers are on long leave, due to which there are not enough teachers to teach in the school.

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has said that Delhi hears day and night from Minister Atishi and MLA Manish Sisodia that we have made schools world class in Delhi and today we are standing in this municipal school of Kapashera, where it is sad to see the condition. He said that three classes are running in one hall in the school and one teacher is teaching all three of them. There is no drinking water available for the children. Forget about having a water cooler, all the taps in the school are dry or broken. The toilet blocks of the school are very dirty and there is no separate toilet for about 550 girl students. The school lacks even clean blackboards in the classrooms.
Delhi BJP President has said that the poor condition of Kapashera school is not an isolated case, government schools in similar condition can be seen in every corner of Delhi. He said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who is in jail and Manish Sisodia who has come out on bail should come and see the condition of such schools and the only question to them is whether they can educate their children in such schools.
BJP MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said that we all saw how the children are sitting on the floor, the toilets are stinking and there is a shortage of teachers. I want to ask the Aam Aadmi Party leaders and the local MLA that where is that education revolution about which Atishi, Manish Sisodia or Arvind Kejriwal talk big. We will also take this entire issue to the Mayor of Delhi, so that it can be improved and the future of the children can be bright.
