65-year-old man molested a minor girl and then raped her

A shocking and sensational incident has come to light in Maharashtra’s capital Mumbai. Here a 65-year-old cancer patient first molested a minor girl living in his own house, then made her a victim of his lust. The victim was adopted by the accused’s live-in partner. Both were taking care of the accused during his illness. The police have registered a case and started investigating the matter.

According to the information, the accused lives with his partner and the victim in a flat in the western suburb of Khar. He is suffering from cancer, for which he is undergoing treatment. The accused’s partner had adopted the 15-year-old victim three months ago. Both of them were helping the accused together. But last Saturday, seeing the opportunity, he made the minor girl a victim of his lust.

A police officer of Khar police station said that on the basis of the complaint of the woman who takes care of the victim, a case has been registered against the accused on Sunday under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the POCSO Act. The matter is being investigated. Initial investigation has revealed that the accused molested and sexually assaulted the girl after finding her alone in the flat.

According to the police, the accused is 33 years old, while the victim is 32 years old. The accused had befriended the woman at the railway station. He had hidden from the woman that he was already married. The police suspect that the accused is a home guard constable, who has not been arrested yet. A police officer said that the victim is originally from Uttarakhand.

The victim worked as a caretaker. She did not have a fixed job or place to stay in Mumbai, so she lived in a waiting room at Mumbai Central Railway Station. About six months ago, the accused in uniform met the woman and exchanged mobile phone numbers with her. After some time, they became closer.

The complainant claimed that the accused raped her on various occasions in the last six months by taking her to different places in Vakola, Bandra and Nallasopara. The accused also promised to arrange a room for her to stay, but he did not keep his promise. Later, when she realised that she had been cheated, she came to the police station and filed a case.
