6 people sentenced to life imprisonment for killing an Indian Army soldier

6 people have been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of an Indian Army technician in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. These criminals had killed an army soldier in 2017 due to an old rivalry. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 54,000 along with the sentence on Dilip Kaushal (52), Hemant Verma (28), Rohit (34), Mohit (28), Arjun Baurasi (28) and Vikas Baurasi (29).

According to the information, these criminals attacked Varun Chauhan, who was posted as a technician in the Indian Army, with swords on January 22, 2017. He died in this attack. After this, six accused were convicted under Section 302 (punishment for murder) and other relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code. At the time of this incident, the deceased Varun Chauhan was 30 years old.

Special Public Prosecutor Vishal Anand Srivastava said that Varun Chauhan, his friend Yogesh Pal (who is in the army) and their family members were attacked in the Banganga police station area due to an old rivalry. Varun, who was seriously injured in this attack, died during treatment in the hospital. He had come to his home in Indore on vacation. The court of Special Judge Devendra Prasad Mishra has pronounced the verdict.
