5 thousand rupees will be deducted for over speeding on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, automatic e-challan started

People travelling on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway should be careful. Now over speeding on the expressway can prove to be costly. So drive carefully. Because if the vehicle is over speeding even a little, then a challan of five thousand rupees will have to be paid. E Challan system has been started on the expressway. In such a situation, if the vehicle is over speeding, the speed of the vehicle will be noted with the help of cameras installed on the expressway and the challan will reach the driver’s house directly.

Accidents are happening on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway due to over speeding and people are losing their lives. Most of the expressway passes through Rajasthan. The expressway passes through Alwar, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur and Kota in Rajasthan. Most of the road accidents are happening in Alwar and Dausa area. To prevent these accidents, e-challan system has been started on the expressway. E-challans are being issued on the expressway from August 1. So far, more than 200 over speed challans have been issued by Alwar Police.

The expressway is divided into three pockets

Alwar Superintendent of Police Anand Sharma said that the expressway has been divided into three pockets. The control room of the first pocket’s camera is in Sohna area. The second is in Dausa and the third pocket’s control room is in Jaipur. With the help of cameras installed on the expressway, the NHAI control room receives information about over speeding of vehicles and they send the input directly to the Jaipur control room. After that, the traffic police department of the concerned area is given information about the vehicle and on that basis e-challans are issued. The SP said that the minimum challan is Rs 5000. In such a situation, driving at over speed can be heavy on the pocket.

Accidents happen everyday due to over speeding

Former Barmer MP Manvendra Singh and his family had an accident in Alwar region on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The car collided with the divider due to over speeding. Manvendra Singh’s wife died in this. Apart from this, a family from Madhya Pradesh was returning to their home in Sawai Madhopur region. During this time, the car met with an accident on the expressway and the whole family perished in it. 6 people died in this accident. Apart from this, the MD of a big construction company and his manager also died in Alwar region. Also, an expensive car of a big businessman had an accident in Haryana region. All accidents are happening due to over speeding.

Most accidents happen in Alwar area

The Alwar pocket on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway has the highest number of road accidents. IIT conducted a study on the expressway and made several improvements. The expressway is constantly monitored.

Challans are issued through interceptor
SP said that in Alwar area an interceptor is always stationed on the expressway and vehicles are challaned on the expressway. But the speed of vehicles on the expressway is very high. Therefore it is not possible to stop them.
