3 killed, many injured in knife attack on party goers in Solingen, Germany

An unknown attacker attacked with a knife during an event in Solingen, Germany on Friday. At least three people died and many others are reported to be injured. According to Reuters, this attack took place on Friday night during a party organized to celebrate the 650th anniversary of Solingen. After the incident, the attacker managed to escape from the spot.

On the other hand, the police reached the spot as soon as they got the information and took the injured to the hospital and asked people to vacate the area. Along with this, the police has started a search operation in search of the unknown attacker. Nearby CCTV footage is being scanned. However, the police refused to comment on the condition of the injured at the moment. Solingen has a population of 1,60,000 and it is located near two big cities of Germany, Cologne and Dusseldorf.

The incident took place in a market called Fronhof located in the middle of the city, where a stage was set up for live music. According to local media reports, Philip Muller, one of the co-organizers of the party, said that 9 people were injured in the attack, who are fighting for their lives. The event was temporarily postponed. Meanwhile, the police have blocked the entire city for combing and issued an alert.

There was a stabbing incident in May as well

Let us tell you that in early May this year, an unknown attacker had attacked a right-wing demonstration in Mannheim, Germany with a knife, in which many people including a police officer were injured. This attack took place when an elderly man was preparing to address a right-wing protest called by anti-Islam activist Michael Sturzenberger.
