According to the report of World of Statistics, Indians are ranked 62nd in the world in terms of average salary. The monthly average salary of people in India is 598 dollars i.e. around 50,000 rupees. If we interpret this figure, it is clear that Indians are far behind in terms of salary. Unemployment is a common problem, but at such a time, if someone says that even a salary of 25 lakhs per year is not enough, then a debate is bound to start on social media, and this is what happened.
A post sparked a debate
European investor Sourav Dutta wrote on social media platform X that a salary of Rs 25 lakh per annum is nothing in today’s times. He also released details of his monthly expenses and said that at the end of the month, there is nothing left to invest.

This is an opinion that was bound to be controversial, especially at a time when salaries of thousands of tech employees in India’s top IT companies, such as Tech Mahindra, TCS and Infosys, are stagnant. And disappointment has also been seen among the employees of the IT sector regarding this.
Many people reacted to this post and said that at a time when a large population dreams of earning a salary of Rs 25 lakh per annum, many people are disappointed in achieving it. It is true that even though the salary in the tech industry is many times higher, people working in other sectors are still struggling to earn just a living salary.
Many people asked Sourav Dutta on X where he would get such a dream job. Answering this, he said that he knows many people in the IT sector who get an annual salary of Rs 30 lakh after five years of experience. He said that you would not even imagine how much IT experts have started earning in today’s era.
