2 sessions, 3 sections, many modules… Understand the pattern before SSC CHSL Tier II, then prepare like this

SSC CHSL Tier 2 Updated Exam Pattern: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) exam has two stages – Tier I and Tier II. The commission has released the result of SSC CHSL Tier I held in July. More than 41 thousand candidates have qualified for Tier-II. About 3712 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive. That is, more than 11 times the candidates will compete in Tier-II. This exam will be conducted in October 2024. The commission will soon release its exam date (SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Date) on its official website.

SSC CHSL Tier-2 exam date is near and the competition is tough. Therefore, candidates who have qualified in Tier-1 should start preparing from now. Before preparation, it is very important to understand the syllabus and exam pattern of Tier-2. Tier-I is an objective type exam, while Tier II includes descriptive paper and skill test. It is divided into three sessions. Let’s understand in detail.

SSC CHSL Tier II Exam Pattern
SSC CHSL Tier II consists of two sessions (Paper-1 and 2). Session-1 will be of two hours and 15 minutes and Session-2 will be of 45 minutes. Session-1 consists of three sections, each of which will have two modules. Session-1 will have 60 (Section-1) + 60 (Section-2) + 15 (Section-3) = 135 questions. Session-2 will be a Skill Test/Typing Test module (as per the post).

Section-1 (Session-I)
Module-I: Mathematical Abilities: 30 questions – 90 marks
Module-II: 30 questions of Reasoning and General Intelligence – 90 marks
Each question carries 3 marks i.e. 180 marks paper

Section-2
Module-I: English Language and Comprehension: 40 questions – 120 marks
And Module-II: General Awareness 20 questions-60 marks
There will be 60 questions in the paper of total 180 marks, each question will be of 3 marks.

Section-3
Module-I: Computer Knowledge Test of 15 questions – 45 marks

How to prepare for SSC CHSL paper?

  • Make a time table: Make a regular study timetable and follow it.
  • Solve previous years question papers: Solving previous years question papers will give you an idea of ​​the exam pattern and type of questions asked.

A total of 39835 candidates have cleared the exam for Lower Division Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and 1630 candidates have qualified for Data Entry Operator (DEO) / DEO Grade ‘A’ posts.
