Amid the continuous increase in terrorist attacks in the Jammu region, the Center has decided to transfer 2 battalions of Assam Rifles to the Jammu region to strengthen the security grid. 2 battalions of Assam Rifles from Manipur will be transferred to the Jammu region.

Recently, 3000 additional Army personnel and 2000 BSF personnel were also deployed in Jammu region to strengthen the security grid. Sources reveal that around 40-50 trained Pakistani terrorists are hiding in the upper reaches of Doda, Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur and other places. Therefore, additional troops are being deployed as part of major anti-terror operations in Jammu region.
