10-year-old TikTok star Bella Brave, whose real name is Bella Thomson, has shown signs of improvement while in a medically induced coma due to complications from a viral lung infection.
Bella’s mother, Kyla Thomson, provided an update on her daughter’s health, stating that “two days ago they were preparing us for her not to survive, but today, they’ve told us she’s shown she is fighting and actually shown improvements!” While Kyla remains cautious, noting that “this could take weeks,” she expressed hope, saying “she’s showing us she’s fighting and she will make it out of this.”
The health scare comes after Bella underwent a successful bowel transplant in August 2023, which her mother described as “the last medical trauma she would ever have to endure.” However, the recent viral lung infection has led to Bella being intubated and placed in a medically induced coma at Toronto’s SickKids facility.
Kyla shared the emotional experience of witnessing Bella’s battle for survival, stating that just days ago, the outlook seemed grim, with preparations made for the worst outcome. However, Bella has now demonstrated signs of resilience and improvement.
“We are not in the clear yet; this journey might be lengthy, but we are clinging to hope for her recovery,” Kyla emphasized, highlighting Bella’s determination to overcome the current challenge.
